A census contains much information that helps people to understand trends in the population.

Stereotype- is a belief about a person or group of people that does not recognize individual differences.

List of Rights- is a list of demands the provisional Métis Government presented to the Federal government in 1869.

Assimilation- is what happens when one cultural group absorbs the characteristics of another. In the case of the Aboriginal Peoples, the government tried to force them to assimilate. Sometimes assimilation can happen naturally and voluntarily.

Mainstream culture- comprises the values and traditions of the majority.

Segregated- means being separate or apart.

United Empire Loyalists- was an American colonist who stayed loyal to Britain during the American Revolution. Many thousands came north to live in Canada.

Family

Something interesting about my family is that they had to move here from Holland. I had thought that they knew how to speak english, but they had never spoken it before, I was socked when my grandma just told me, they came from a train, my great grandma had to go to the restroom pretty bad, so she got to the bathroom and saw a little rope at the top, she pulled it and the train stopped; it was the emergency cord.

Green Day "Minority"

Song By Green Day

One Light, one mind
Flashing in the dark
Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts
"For crying out loud" she screamed unto me
A free for all
You are your own sight

One Mind can only see one light, its flashing in the dark, you can see if someone has a broken heart. If they are sad they look sad, the silence of broken hearts, you can not see broken hearts, you can only see it in their body language. Your eyes are your own sight means your eyes can only see what you see, your eyes cant show other people what you say!!!
